REFLECTION

I can see myself utilizing an I-Pod in the classroom in many ways. I would like the use of downloading podcasts and vodcasts to share with students on related topics of study. The ease of downloading and storing them on the pod is great. Since most districts (mine included) block a lot of this content it is relatively simple to download from home and store on the device for playback. Be it though a laptop, LCD, or connection to an audio amplification device located within my classroom. For my personal life I must admit I have become pretty connected with my I-Pod. I have honestly utilized it on a daily basis since I got it in my hands. I use it to surf internet when I need to find information quickly without access to a computer. I use some of the apps that I have downloaded for information such as local news and weather. For entertainment purposes I use other apps like Facebook, daily horoscope, games such as The Price is Right, and the various recipe applications I found. I have learned a lot about the uses for I-Pods and can see how students can get hooked on them. I personally look forward to my current cell phone contract expiring so that I can purchase the I-Phone to limit the amount of devices I need to carry on my person. I intend to further my investigation of the I-Pod and finding more viable uses for my classroom.
